Subcommittee of General Council on the Introduction of the Performance Management and Development System
Delivering Better Government identified performance management as the key to enhanced service delivery in the Irish Public Service. Over the last number of months, a significant effort has gone into the development of the new system. The approach has been one of partnership with the civil service unions in developing a system which will apply to everyone in the organisation, which will be seen to be relevant and helpful in achieving business objectives and which will contribute in a real way to individual personal development
Report of the Special Group on Public Service Numbers and Expenditure Programmes
The Department of Finance released the Report of the Special Group on Public Service Numbers (commonly known as An Bord Snip) on the 16th July, 2009.
2009 Irish Civil Service Surveys
Ipsos MRBI and Amárach Research were commissioned in Autumn 2009 by the TPS Programme Office, Department of the Taoiseach, to conduct surveys of the general public and businesses to determine levels of satisfaction with the services provided by the Civil Service Departments and Offices
New Guidelines for the preparation of Strategy Statements 2011 - 2013
The revised Guidelines for the Preparation of Strategy Statements. These Guidelines set out in broad outline the obligations imposed on Ministers and Secretaries General arising from the Public Service Management Act, 1997, and were prepared in order to inform, in particular, the process of preparing Statements of Strategy for the three-year period 2011 to 2013.
